Healthy Hair Growth with African Hair Accel

I just started this awesome relationship with African Hair Accel. Hair Vitamins that will help me to continue growing my hair long and healthy. I’ve been doing a lot of protective hair styling for a while now to help preserve my hair. I colored my hair a while back (CLICK HERE) and I had to amp up my hair routine to keep my my hair from going into hair breakage overload. I have experienced the side effects of having colored relaxed hair, but I have been able to successfully manage it and retain length.

I was introduced to African Hair Accel about a month ago. I just started taking them last week. I had my hair in Senegalese twists, and decided to wait until after I removed them to start using them. I can’t really give any full details on my experience. Hopefully after two weeks I will give a review to let you know my experience (mostly side effects).

African Hair Accel promises to do the following:

  • Grow your hair up to 2 times faster
  • Give your hair all the vitamins it needs to be healthy
  • Grow longer more beautiful hair in only 30 days
  • Stop hair breakage and shedding hair. ¬†
You are supposed to take the vitamins three times per day with a meal and drink plenty of water throughout the day to avoid breakouts. This product does contain Biotin (vitamin linked to skin breakouts). So far, so good. My skin is still clear. ūüôā
One review stated the following (as printed on their information card):
“I love African Hair Accel. Within a week of taking African Hair Accel, my hair became softer. Will continue to buy”.- Aaryn

I will say this. I agree with that review. I was running my fingers through my hair today and I thought dang..my hair feels ridiculously soft. I thought it was due to my recent relaxer (after a 4 mos. stretch) and conditioner cocktail, but this feels like a different soft. No product necessary.  When I post another update (more than likely middle of next week) I will be able to let you know for sure if softness is a result of taking the vitamins.

Product Review: Design Essentials Hydrience Argan Moisturizing Creme

Design Essentials Moisturizing Creme

I was sent this lovely product a while ago and I decided not to rush myself to post a review, because I wanted to make sure I used the product thoroughly before posting a review.I have about a few good squeezes of this product left, so yeah I’ve pretty much used the entire tube. To wrap it up in one phrase. I love this product!! Unlike most moisturizers it’s not heavy and I absolutely love that about this product. It adds instant moisture and shine to my hair and it doesn’t weigh it down. That was most important to me when using this product, because when I want to wear my hair down and in s simple style I don’t want it to be weighted down or greasy.¬† The product smells absolutely amazing and not at all over bearing. Most scented products can cause a odd smell after a few days of use, that was not the case with this product.

I recently color treated my hair with permanent hair dye, and I must say this has helped to save my hair (adding daily moisture) along with deep conditioning weekly. Considering the weather is attempting to change to colder days, your hair will change as well. Colder days are going to lead to dryer hair strands. Therefore using a good hair moisturizer or keeping your hair moisturized is important and crucial. If you’ve ever wondered why your hair sheds or tends to break more during the winter months, this is why. Change in climate. Adding this product to your daily routine can help to alleviate and minimize hair breakage and shedding during the winter months.

Beautysets - Hair Product of the Week

Hello Blog Lovers!! This weeks HPOW (Hair Product of the Week) is the Elasta QP Design Silk Thermal Styling Spray. I spoke of this product last week in my Favorite Leave In Conditioners post. Check out the video above to hear more about the products in case you missed reading the post. I absolutely love this thermal styling spray. The number one reason is because this product is nutrient packed with great vitamins, oils, and protein.¬† I’ve been using this product for a while now and so far I feel that it does what it says it’s supposed to do. What is that you ask? This product is a heat protectant that will leave your hair incredibly soft, silky-smooth with great body movement and shine.¬† My hair feels silky smooth once it’s been dried and it does have a great shine these days.¬† This product can be used and should be used on clean hair before blow-drying, roller setting, or wrapping.¬†

As stated in my Favorite Leave in Conditioners post, this product contains a humectant which is added to conditioners to help the hair retain moisture. Although this product is labeled as a heat protectant it is also a conditioning product. Check out the product stats below.

HPOW: Design Essentials Hydrate Leave-In Hydrating Conditioner

Hello Blog lovers!! I know.. I haven’t posted a Hair Product of the Week in FOREVER!! gigglesm but I’m trying to catch up. This product that I’m going to share with you guys is an AWESOME product. It’s not because it belongs to my favorite salon brand family (coughs* Design Essentials), but since I’ve been using this conditioner for the past 10 months (yeah it’s been ten months and I’m just now sharing, forgive me for keeping it a secret for this long), I’ve seen a huge difference in my hair. The product that I’m referring to is the Design Essentials Hydrate Leave in Conditioner. I was first introduced to this “magic in a bottle” after my Design Essentials Holiday Make-over.  I have been using it ever since. It only takes about a dime sized amount for my hair (root to tip) and it leaves my hair soft, shiny, and manageable. I love combining this with my other leave-in conditioners (to be discussed later) and I absolutely love how it makes my hair feel, especially when it feels dry ( My hair has it’s moments). Since it’s getting cold, this product is something that you should purchase to use during the winter months.

    Stats

DESIGN ESSENTIALS¬ģ HYDRATE LEAVE-IN HYDRATING CONDITIONER is a cream based leave-in conditioner that revitalizes and moisturizes dry thirsty hair.

  • Botanical extracts instantly softens and moisturizes hair that is extremely dry and brittle
  • Quickly penetrates the cuticle and delivers moisture to prevent hair breakage
  • Leaves a brilliant shine on the hair
  • Ideal for dry or coarse hair
  • Can be used weekly or on dry hair in between shampoos
  • Detangles on contact

  • I can honestly say that I have experienced all of the above with this product. There is an immediate softness to my hair after it’s been distributed from root to tip and it feels even softer after it’s been dried. I think this product is a product that I will keep on hand to use at all times after I shampoo my hair. I have not used this on my hair in a dry state, but  I’m sure the results will be the same. This product doesn’t leave a residue on the hair,, but I wouldn’t recommend using more than a dime sized amount (to avoid any possible build up, if there is any). The longer your hair of course you can use more. Keep in mind that a little goes a long way. This product can be used on both relaxed and natural hair, great for any hair types.

It smells great and it’s affordable. It contains No Parabens, No phtalates, No Paraffin, No Gluten, No Propylene Glycol, No Mineral Oil, No Synthetic Fragrance, No PABA, No Synthetic color, NO DEA, No Animal Ingredients, and most of all NO SULFATES!!  It does however contain some all natural organic ingredients such as Shea Butter, Sea Kelp, and my favorite Argan Oil! It’s purely organic and I have used it every single time I shampoo my hair (since purchasing it) and I love it!  I combine this conditioner with my Creme of Nature Argan Oil Conditioner (applying it first) and then I apply the Deep Treatment Masque, covering the entire head; apply my plastic bag and leave it on for as long as I desire to do so.  The directions suggest5-30 minutes then rinse. This conditioner can also be used as a frizz free moisturizing styling creme.
