>Hello Blog lovers! I just wanted to share with you guys my progress so far over a seven months time period. As some of you may or may not already know, I’ve been using Doo Gro Products on my hair. I started using them in January of this year and over the past month since I’ve been low on my product (time for a beauty supply store haul) I’ve switched it up a bit. I just wanted you guys to see my progress so far from start to finish and check out my little mini video that I published on my youtube channel last week. Subscribe to the channel some great vids coming up soon!!
Monthly Archives: July 2010
This eyeshadow color is called Petal. It’s a rosy pink shimmery shadow.
This a Shadow/Blush. It has golden flakes in it and gives a shimmery effect. I’ve been using this on my cheeks. The color is called Seashell.
These eyeliners were one dollar! The colors from top to bottom are Olive, Indigo, and Rasin. Olive and Rasin are shimmery liners and Indigo is a matte color which I love I will probably use these on days when I feel like going simple and just line underneath my eyes.
The nail colors from top (left to right) to bottom are: Blue Steak (my sister used this and it was a very rich royal blue color I ♥ it) Sun Sational (anxious to use this) Plum Perfect (very pretty rich violet purple) Top Coat and Base Coat.
** Two shadows not pictured: Marine and Snow**
I tried my best to make a cute little display of what I purchased. LOL
I wanted to have a compact that I could carry in my purse for an everyday on the go look. I love having a natural glow and keep it simple. So I wanted to have create a brown look. The colors from top to bottom are Biscotti, Espresso,Gioia and Java. All are shimmery shadows except for Espresso which is a matte brown color.
This is my first bronzer compact. Offers a Golden Glow
Mosaic Blushes (Top to Bottom) Hush Baby and Chica
Marks Infamous Hook up connector Duo’s I purchased (Left to Right) Petal and Rush. Both of these lip glosses are highly pigmented. I love the lip glosses. They are Fan-tab-u-lous!!

Hello Blog Lovers and Welcome New Followers! This weeks Hair Product of the Week (which is late) is the Silk Remedy which is a part of Sally’s generic branded products. As some may or may not already know Sally’s Beauty Supply Store offers a complete line of your favorite name brand hair products such as: Paul Mitchell, CHI, Matrix, Artec, Redken and many more just to name a few. This line is a split image of the name brand product and is sold for a cheaper price for the consumer. I just so happened to pick up a bottle a few weeks back and I use it on my hair before I heat style it. I must say that I love it! It leaves my hair soft, shiny, and not weighted down. The smell is great, however it did catch me off guard a bit because it reminded me of one of my ex-boyfriends cologne ( I can’t think of the brand cologne but it’s such a clear replica of the scent). I absolutely love it! My sister loves it as well she got a hold of the product while flat ironing her hair at my house. This product is a splitting image of the CHI Silk Infusion (I’ve of course have not tried the actual CHI brand but if this is a split image I’m content with the generic version, at least until I run out of product). I give this product my ★★★★★ (5 Star Stamp). I love it and if you don’t have any in your bathroom cabinet of hair products you should definitely make the purchase. This product is $9.49 on the Sally’s Beauty Supply Website. So Check out the stats below:

Create smooth, soft hair with GVP Silk Remedy. Adds amazing shine to even the dullest hair and tames frizzies for well behaved hair. Conditions your locks with each application and helps protect hair from heat damage.
2. Using Bad Shampoos and Conditioners: Most over the counter shampoos have fillers in them (alcohol and wax) that will leave your hair dry and brittle and without shine. Professional hair products (little to non) contain no fillers and can be used to correct this problem. Using dandruff shampoos on your hair will make the dry scalp worse.
3. Not using conditioner: If you are not using conditioners on your hair for whatever the reason my question is why? I think the majority of us have gotten the idea that conditioning the hair is important. Because shampooing can be drying to the hair it is important that you condition the hair to maintain moisture on both the hair and scalp.Keep this in mind that when it comes to oily scalp you apply your conditioner to only your hair and not your scalp.
Always use products that are formulated to help you and your hair condition. Never use products because they work for others. Steer clear of products that contain alcohol and wax for fillers (this is what helps make the product think in consistency) Never use dandruff shampoo on dry scalp. Figure out what your condition is and treat it accordingly. If you are using something that is making your scalp dry stop using it and try something else. Same thing goes for your dandruff issue if you have one.
This weeks Hair Tool of the Week is the Shampoo Scalp Massager. I absolutely love this hair tool! It’s not a styling tool of course but its a tool used in the shower or at the salon shampoo bowl to help stimulate the scalp. When you stimulate the scalp you allow the blood to flow to the top of your scalp which helps to stimulate hair growth. I know some people may be thinking how do you use this without breaking my hair off. Basically what I do (and I will describe this again in the stats below) I lather my hair with shampoo and I use the brush (massager) and in a brushing motion I run it through my hair from the hair line (edges) to the crown of my head. I then do the same thing using the same exact motion in the sides and back of my head. This helps to keep your nails out of your head and off of your scalp. It doesn’t pull the hair or irritate the scalp. It has ball tipped ends so it doesn’t hurt to use it either. Check out the stats on this product below:
The Babyliss Scalp Massage Brush gently massages hair and scalp. Stimulates the hair follicle for healthier hair.
•Thick bristles gently massage and stimulate the scalp for healthy, shiny hair
•Non-slip handle is contoured to fit in the palm of the hand for extra comfort and control
•Distributes styling products evenly throughout hair
The Babyliss Scalp Massaging Brush has a unique contoured shape which conforms to the palm of your hand, allowing your hand to naturally cup the brush. The thick bristles massage the scalp while stimulating the hair follicle for healthy, shiny hair. The shape and style of the brush along with the bristles help to evenly distribute styling products.
This particular scalp massager is only $1.99 at Sally’s Beauty Supply Store. You can find other scalp massagers like the one below at your other local BSS:
